Before / after, level-matched

Same loudness. Decide by ear.

Before and after play at the same loudness, so you hear what the master changes: the kick, the low end, the space. Loud is fine. Flat is not.

Two kinds of heavy

Loud

Deathcore and modern death metal: as loud as the genre expects, with breakdowns that keep their weight.

Raw

Black metal and doom: the noise and the room stay in. We take out harshness, not atmosphere. If your record should stay quieter, it stays quieter.

Blast beats at full loudness

Cymbals turn to a wash long before the limiter is done. We keep snare and kick readable at blast-beat tempo.

Low tuning without mud

Drop A guitars and the bass fight for the same space. We separate them so the riff stays a riff on small speakers too.

Before we master, we listen like a producer.

If something in the mix holds your track back, you hear it from us first. Raw productions stay raw.

Mastered by someone who has played the big stages.

Too much energy, too little room. Lars Peter knows that problem from both sides of the speakers.

On stage as Antagon and as -Z- (alpha & antagon), from Boom in Portugal to tours through the USA, Mexico and India.

Lars started on bass at twelve and spent years in a death metal demo band before psytrance took over. Both scenes have the same problem: too much energy, too little room.

Interzone is two people and one studio. Lars Peter masters, André Szigethy produces and runs the webradio. You always talk to the engineer who masters your track.

Questions

Will you make my black metal record louder?

Only if you want it louder. Send a reference you like. We match the intent, not a LUFS number.

Can you fix a harsh mix?

Up to a point. If the problem sits in the mix, you get notes before you pay anything. Sometimes a remix of one guitar track does more than any master.

Do you do stem mastering for bands?

Yes, up to 8 stems for 69 € per track. It helps most when drums and guitars need different treatment.

Send the full track. Tell us the part you worry about.

You get a free test master back, usually within 2–3 days. Then you decide.

Paste a Dropbox, Google Drive or SwissTransfer link and we fetch the file ourselves. Otherwise you get a private upload link by email, valid for 7 days. No account, no payment.
